Job Purpose
Reporting to the Principal Officer – Placement and Career Services, the person will be responsible for the end to end management of allocated internship programs from registration o students to the eventual placement of the same. The job holder will be a key contributor to employability outcomes and will work to provide data and insights in furtherance of the same.
Key Responsibilities
Providing support to students by;
Providing internship recommendation letters
Registering students for internship courses
Addressing any issues that students may face during the internship period/process
Providing support to companies looking for interns by;
Advertising internship opportunities to students by posting opportunities on Careerlink and sending the same via email.
Sharing candidate profiles with employers following shortlisting interviews
Prompt response to all employer queries
Providing support to faculty by organizing internship class meetings and preparing the class list of students taking internship with company information every semester.
Conducting opportunity sourcing through employer engagement approaches such as company visits.
Drafting and organizing the signing of partnership MOU’s for internship and job placements
Writing semester reports on company visits, MOU’s signed and other achievements and challenges faced in the internship office.
Updating the internship website page and cx portal with internship documents, announcements and any other information.
Contributing to insights gathering through strategic data collection and analysis.
Collaborating with other colleagues in the Placement and Career Services Department in organizing the annual career fair, employer information sessions and other departmental activities.
Qualifications /Educational/Professional/experience)
Undergraduate Degree, Masters’ Degree is an added advantage
Experience: 3 years
