The Technical Implementation Engineers will be responsible for all aspects of Banking and will play a key role in shaping the integrating partner experience and the business moving forward.
The role holder must be someone that is keen on investigating complex problems, getting to root cause, and implementing elegant solutions.
The role holder will be involved in the set up processes for the organizations partners and customers, investigating the Core API platform and API service-related issues, own partner operational processes and work closely with different cross-functional teams (customer experience, relationship managers, product owners, product managers and developers) as well as external partners to create scalable processes, tools and solutions for the benefit of our partners as they integrate and develop solutions off our core platforms.
The ideal candidate should build and engage stakeholder relationships including API platform partners and other key fulfillment partners.
Successful candidates must be highly organized, motivated, efficient, relatable, analytical, possess an aptitude for learning and using new software and technologies, and be able to communicate clearly and effectively.
Responsibilities
Handle API banking customer onboarding, technical set up on the sandbox environment, testing and go live readiness.
Serve as a liaison between our partners and various platform providers.
Define and implement best practices, code style guides, and various testing standards, including peer reviews and critiques for use for cases on our Banking as a Service platform.
Build and maintain relationships with Partners, third-party API providers and colleagues ensuring the service provided is of a high standard, making recommendations to improve API services on an ongoing basis.
Use creative and innovation-driven ability to articulate engineering design patterns related to scale, performance, security, and usability of APIs by our partners on the platform.
Provide day-to-day oversight and management of all API processes including but not limited to: Handling of all API development, testing, issue management with Partners and for supporting systems.
Act as a point of escalation to resolve partner, internal and/or external BaaS queries relating to API operations in a timely manner and in line with service levels.
Review and monitor the platform sandbox and APIs therein with a view of improving API quality and response timelines within pre-defined patterns, raising the alerts when necessary and as per agreed guidelines.
Enable a culture of continuous improvement of our processes and workflows by proactively working with your colleagues to identify areas for improvement and suggesting solutions for the operations system, communicating these to the Team leader.
Build test platforms for the requisite platform APIs.
Support the larger team with ad hoc requests, projects or routine duties related to platform partner management.
Engage in development discussions to create/improve our internal processes and systems.
Keep abreast with current and new legislations, laws, directives, and regulations related to the banking and Fintech industry
Academic :
A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field in Technology.
Proficiency with fundamental front-end languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular JS, React, and Amber.
Proficiency with server-side languages such as Python, Ruby, Java, PHP, and .Net, etc.
Proficiency with database technology such as MySQL, Oracle, and MongoDB and a working knowledge of database storage and management.
Proficiency of solution architecture and application to design effective end to end solutions.
Ability to distill complex technical information into easily understandable concepts for senior management.
Professional :
At least 2 years’ experience in active software development of back-end solutions and/or experience in supporting production implementation of API integrations and deployment.
