Consultant Project Coordinator- Driving Green Growth in the Construction Sector

Purpose and Objectives of the Assignment
The Project Coordinator will provide technical and operational support to the three years Challenge Fund for Youth Empowerment Project. Supporting the Manager SVL, the Project Coordinator will coordinate with Habitat for Humanity’s relevant departments and other project partners to provide critical technical and operations support.
The key objectives of this assignment will be:

Timely and efficient project implementation, reporting and performance reviews.
Cordial partnership management
Consistent and quality project results commensurate to HFHI and donor standard.

Tasks and responsibilities

Preparation of project documentation, presentations and reports related to project planning, implementation, and management including quarterly and progress technical reports.
Manage and maintain project records, both electronically and hard copy
Participate in implementing partner project activity and performance reviews, monitoring, including support during field visits, surveys and development and revision of standard tools for project monitoring
Provide MEAL support such as monitoring compliance and support in operationalising compliance management systems.

Deliverables

Collated project partners reports for compiling quarterly and annual reports , with corresponding Means of Verification.
Well maintained project documentation and records, including project workplan, partner quarterly activity schedules and partner engagement documentation.
Reports on project partners meetings and timely follow ups on agreed actions and matters arising.
Well maintained project partners’ results sheet.

Experience and qualification

Bachelor’s degree in project management, business management, construction management or other related degree
Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in implementing Market Systems, Entrepreneurship or Value chains projects.
Demonstrated experience working with private sector actors, and knowledge of the role of private sector, functioning of markets, entrepreneurial ecosystem, and opportunities for inclusive economic growth in Kenya;
Outstanding communications and interpersonal skills including partnership management.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Fluency in written and oral English and Swahili communication
Capacity to implement and document project results.
Knowledge of the housing sector, or other relevant sector (e.g. energy, WASH, urban development, etc.) in the region
Experience in practical research, coordinating field survey, data collection and analysis.
Practical training in Research Methodology
Strong interpersonal skills
