Engineering Project Manager

The Roam technology team runs all of our engineering processes across our motorcycles, buses, energy system, charging technology, and EVs. We run various agile processes, including Scrum and Kanban, that need to be flexible enough to sync in with all of our other colleagues’ departments while allowing our engineers time to design and build the best solutions.
The role requires some technical knowledge which is likely to be found in an engineer who wants to move more towards project management. However, someone who has more of a scientific or similar data analysis background can also succeed in this role.
Key Duties and responsibilities:

Project management using tools like ClickUp and Jira.
Taking responsibility of teams’ processes using agile methodology.
Defining, supporting, and implementing the project development life cycle of our Roam products’ components.
Managing and documenting project progress, such as completion of milestones.
Managing and tracking project finances to maintain the profit and cost targets established during the approval stage.
Manage, report on and resolve project risks and issues. Escalating any critical risks or issues when necessary with the CTO or relevant manager.
Managing and maintaining requirements capture/compliance when integrating with all departments.
Manage any requirements / design change control.
Support change management processes.
Responsibility for meeting the deadlines for the individual process steps and for keeping costs within budget and reducing overall costs during project execution.
Ensuring the project is delivered in a cost effective and timely manner and to the required quality level, by following company processes and policies.

Qualifications

Engineering or Science degree preferred but someone with correct and relevant experience should also apply
Understanding and experience of agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
Excellent communication, leadership, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and excellent organisation skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and compete under time constraints
