Quality Manager

About the role:
The Quality Manager is responsible for ensuring that the electric motorcycle assembly factory is producing high-quality motorcycles that meet customer expectations, industry standards, and legal requirements. The Quality Manager will lead a team of quality control personnel to monitor production processes, identify and address quality issues, and implement quality improvement initiatives.
Key Duties and responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and maintain quality control systems and procedures to ensure consistent product quality.
Conduct regular quality audits to monitor production processes, identify quality issues, and ensure compliance with industry standards and legal requirements.
Lead investigations of quality issues, determine root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence.
Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to drive continuous improvement and achieve manufacturing excellence.
Work closely with other departments to ensure quality standards are integrated throughout the manufacturing and assembly process, from design and development to assembly and delivery.
Provide regular reports on quality performance to senior management, including trend analysis and recommendations for improvement.
Manage and develop a team of quality control personnel, providing coaching, training, and performance feedback to ensure they have the skills and knowledge necessary to meet quality objectives.
Collaborate with suppliers to ensure they meet quality standards and address any quality issues that arise.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of quality control systems and procedures, including ISO 9001 and other relevant quality standards.
Experience leading quality audits and investigations, and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
Proven track record of driving continuous improvement and achieving quality objectives.
Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively manage a team and collaborate with other departments and suppliers.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address quality issues using data and root cause analysis.
Experience in the automotive or electric vehicle industry is a plus.
