About the Job:
Sama is searching for a talented L&D Specialist to support our People Operations function and make the most out of our capabilities in Learning, Development, and Talent Management. As the L&D Specialist at Sama, you are a strong strategist & a roll-up-sleeves L&D Practitioner who enjoys working directly with our teams and other stakeholders to solve challenges. You will act as a thought partner and guide Sama through the employee journey from learning and development to talent management. You will be a part of the Global People Team, ensuring that your innovative ideas result in a smooth experience for Sama employees.
Key Responsibilities:
Partner and consult with business leaders to identify corporate learning needs.
Own and execute the annual corporate training roadmap.
Analyze trends and metrics with the Learning and Development Department
Partner with other L&D team members to drive uptake of courses and engagement of learning initiatives.
Evaluate the impact of L&D programs.
Partner with the business to design career paths and support in promoting talent from within Sama.
Manage both internal and external stakeholder relationships.
Ensure compliance with Learning and Development policy.
Maintain training budgets and relationships with training vendors and/or consultants.
Implement various learning methods companywide (e.g. live learning, mentoring, coaching coaching, job-shadowing).
Drive a culture of continuous professional development through the Professional Development Program.
Build and cultivate external relationships that are key in L&D initiatives.
Create and maintain processes to monitor the health and effectiveness of training interactions and the return on investment for the business.
Minimum Qualifications:
4+ years of experience in learning/training OR Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education or related field with at least 4 years learning/training experience.
Proven experience as an L&D specialist, Training Manager or similar.
Experience delivering employee development training programs.
Practical experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
Demonstrated experience in the coordination, facilitation and delivery of effective L&D programs.
Proven ability to complete a full training cycle (assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor and evaluate).
Ability to work in cross functional teams.
