Leading the development of all marketing plans.
Development and effective implementation of UBA Kenya Bank Marketing Strategy
Focusing on growing audiences and the uptake for products and services for UBA Kenya Bank.
Reviewing and reporting on all areas of the marketing strategies and its implementation.
Management and implementation of the corporate brand identity in consultation with UBA Group Brand Management and Marketing Teams.
Managing creative agencies and marketing partners including vendors.
Collaborating with senior team members across all departments to uncover insights and create innovative marketing and branding strategies.
Identifying ways to grow the marketing department and secure resources.
Sourcing talent to ensure the curation and retention of specialist skill sets across your teams.
Monitoring, reviewing, and reporting on all marketing activities, results, and Return on Investment (ROI).
Conducting strategic marketing analysis that will help guide marketing messages.
Overseeing social media planning and execution as per the Marketing Strategy.
Consistently identifying new or expanded revenue opportunities and strategizing the implementation of plans.
Conception, development and implementation of marketing plans and strategies, product concepts and promotional programmes to drive interest and sales.
Working to continuously ensure the company marketing goals are communicated across the entire organisation and improving the company’s marketing outreach efforts.
Ensuring that all current marketing and copyright regulations comply with accepted professional standards, policies, procedures, and legislation.
Promoting and embedding strong and inspirational leadership to the entire team by demonstrating the company’s values and championing the leadership behaviour framework.
Efficiently managing annual marketing budgets.
Routinely sharing strategies, progress, results, learnings, and relevant industry trends, with the broader team
Implementation of the UBA Foundation Strategy at UBA Kenya working closely with the UBA Foundation Team at Group Level.
Sourcing and Management of Strategic Partnerships and Sponsorships to create visibility and increase demand for UBA Kenya Bank Limited Products and Services
Driving internal engagement and Internal communication across all departments under UBA Kenya Bank teams
Constant collaboration and engagement with the UBA Group Brand and Marketing Teams to implement group wide campaigns and promotions in Kenya
Drive and enforce the positive brand image for UBA Kenya Bank Limited through Public Relations and Media engagement initiatives
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in either Communications, Marketing or Public Relations is preferred. CIM Course completion will be an added advantage
At least 10 years’ experience in Communications or Marketing related field with a least 5 years’ Management experience in the Financial Services Sector.
Demonstrated skill and comfort in proactively building and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders
Demonstrated experience and leadership in managing comprehensive strategic communication, media relations, and marketing programs
Knowledge of global, regional, and local media landscape with successful track record in media management and public relations
Extensive experience in planning, writing, editing, and production of newsletters, press releases, annual reports, and other marketing/ communication materials
Articulate and persuasive communicator, written and oral
Ability to work in a multi-cultural setting independently and in teams in a fast paced environment
Strong interpersonal skills with ability to develop, grow and nurture strategic partnerships in line with the UBA Bank Strategy.
