Objectives of the Pre-Orientation Program
The purpose of the pre-orientation training is to equip the Mastercard Foundation Scholars at USIU-Africa with the necessary skills successfully transition into life at university and to meet as a cohort, to prepare the Scholars to undergo competency tests in English, Mathematics and Information Systems and Technology and to prepare the scholars for their university academic journey at USIU-Africa. And also to successfully transition into life at university and to meet as a cohort.
Training Areas:

Assessment of numeracy and support, (Math)
Language Assessment and support Assessment (English)
Support of Information System & Technology (IST)
Life skills training with a focus on trauma management, resilience building, health and sexual reproductive matters
Introduction to Transformative Leadership
Strategies for University Success

Requirements:
Minimum Educational Qualifications and Professional Experience

Bachelor Degree/Masters/PHD in any relevant field.
Experience in delivering training on the specific skill area (Subject Matter Expert)

Skills:

Excellent communication, presentation and facilitation skills
Strong organization Skills
Great at bringing people together
Ability to stimulate interaction without bias
Ability to create and maintain a safe environment
Ability to listen
Time management skills
Identify and measure the different results from training sessions
Ability to design an effective and engaging training Program
Versatility
