Overall Responsibility:
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the ICT Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the SACCO’s ICT function.
Duties & Responsibilities
Manage the ICT infrastructure and server of the SACCO through planning and organizing systems for efficient and effective business operations.
Develop and Communicate disaster mitigation and recovery plans in case of system failure/malfunction in order to ensure business continuity.
Liaising with the system vendors to implement new processes to enhance operations.
Ensuring that data and system backups are effectively administered using local and/or cloud backups.
Managing the surveillance system and ensuring that reliable footage backups are accessible whenever required.
Ensuring that all workstations are always up and working normally.
Supporting all departments and branches in reports development from the system.
Training of users on deployed SACCO systems.
Liaising with system vendors to ensure 100% availability, reliability, and security of the Sacco ICT infrastructure.
Facilitate development, implementation, and review of ICT policy.
Coordinate the formulation and implementation of ICT projects.
Recommend acquisition of requisite ICT infrastructure.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or its equivalent from a recognized university.
At least five (5) years of work experience as an ICT Officer or Manager in an organization of similar size and complexity. Three (3) years which should be from the financial sector.
Professional qualification in CISA, Cisco, Oracle, ISACA, MCSE, or any other equivalent certifications is an added advantage.
Demonstrate thorough knowledge of contemporary ICT trends.
