Research Ethics and Compliance Intern

Role Purpose Statement
The Research Compliance Intern will support research ethics and compliance processes across the organization, working in collaboration with Portfolio Teams and under the supervision of the Senior Project Operations Officer.
Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities

Support compilation and review of Institutional Review Board (IRB) applications
Coordinate printing and delivery of applications to relevant bodies as necessary
Track IRB submissions and approvals by maintaining an up to date database and providing regular updates to the Sn Project Operations Officer
Monitor IRB renewals and amendments and notify staff members when renewals are due
Facilitate the collection of project documents and reports for the annual IRB renewals
Monitor staff ethics certification and highlight gaps, in particular for projects requiring IRB approval
Maintain a clean filing system for all ethics- and compliance-related documents
Support the identification of new IRBs across different countries
Support the Project Operations Team on any other tasks as requested

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

Interest in research and project management
Experience in project assistance or administration
Excellent organizational skills
Excellent verbal communication and writing skills in English
Flexible, self-motivating, able to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Experience working in a fast-paced environment
Able to work effectively across multiple, diverse teams
