Roles and Responsibilities
Perform general accounting tasks, including reconciling and maintaining the books of accounts
Ensure proper negotiation of the terms and conditions for subcontracts and grants
Contribute to establishing, maintaining, and improving active and regular working relationships with donors/partners.
Perform financial analysis, prepare financial reports and perform management tasks
Ensure continuous improvement of grant and procurement design management.
Validate transactions and verify their overall impact on the general accounts
Review financial paperwork and procedures, provide recommendations and implement them
Ensure that all expenses are within the assigned project budget
Verify payments vouchers and supporting documentation
Prepare payments, and bank transfers and do the bank transactions
Ensure account receivables and payables activities are performed accurately and timely
Identify and resolve invoicing issues, accounting discrepancies, and other financial-related issues
Coordinate financial audits; implement audit observations and recommendations;
In charge of cash flow projection, asset management, supplier payment, payroll processing, and statutory compliance
Policy management and internal control
Required Specifications:
At least 5 years of experience in a similar position.
Experience in grant and fund management
A Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or Accounting or equivalent
CPA/ACCA Qualification and experience with a variety of accounting software e.g Quick books
Digital/tech enthusiast with a passion to explore and improve business processes (e.g. procurement)
Experience in project management and proposal development
Ability to work independently, ability to multitask, and prioritize competing tasks;
High integrity, ethics, good team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
