What you need to know:
Reporting to the Head of Property and Specialty Risks, this role assists in providing technical underwriting support and coordinates service delivery within Property & Specialty department. It ensures key accounts and partners are adequately serviced and all underwriting guidelines are observed when accepting new and renewal business.
Responsibilities
Underwrite new and renewal Property risks in accordance with AIG Underwriting guidelines.
Capture all relevant risk information into AIG appropriate systems, ensuring compliance.
Provide supporting data and reports for team meetings, internal and external meetings, and business plans as and when required.
Monitor renewal reports and chase outstanding renewal business.
Ensure timely issuance of policy documents, invoices, certificates, quotes etc.
Conduct, and develop effective relationships with colleagues in the Property team and other teams, including Claims, Actuarial, Distribution, Compliance, and Finance.
Support in the issuance of policies relating to Multinational business.
Conduct and develop effective relationships with Brokers, Agents, Clients and local cedants in the market
Attend to risk surveys with internal risk engineer to better understand risk.
What we’re looking for:
Bachelor’s Degree in Insurance, Actuarial or related field.
Diploma in Insurance – AIIK or CII.
3+ years of experience working in an insurance company
Underwriting experience in Property and Specialty Lines
Self-starter who is not afraid to take initiative and has a high level of self-sufficiency and is a team player
