Job Purpose
To support establishment and expansion of a robust monitoring and evaluation strategy/plan for the several Projects that compliments provision of quality integrated HIV prevention, HIV counselling and testing, care and treatment services within the Ministry of Health, Private and Faith Based Sector health facilities in supported by EGPAF.
Job Summary
Under the guidance of the Senior Strategic Information and Evaluation Manager, the SI&E Officer will work to ensure furtherance of the EGPAF Project’s agenda of improving quality of integrated HIV services through continuous quality improvement, data quality assessments, technical assistance and capacity building to EGPAF Project’s technical staff and health care workers at the County, sub-county and facility level in support of strategic information activities. S/he will provide oversight to SI&E and data management components within the EGPAF Projects and at the facility level.
No two days are alike at EGPAF, but what can you expect as a Title ?
Develop M&E frameworks for supported projects.
Develop qualitative and quantitative tools for data collection, summary and reporting.
Coordinate annual project reviews, impact assessments, process monitoring activities.
Ensure highest quality data is accessible to all by analyzing and visualizing.
Coordinate timely and quality donor reporting highlighting project performance against targets.
Ensure data use for decision making by regular update of project performance monitoring plan (PMP).
Perform regular updates of project dashboards to enhance data use for decision making.
Develop and updated performance dashboards for timely performance feedback.
Coordinate QA, QC and QI for all the project M&E systems and processes.
Ensure quality and available data through proper database management, M&E systems and storage.
Document case studies, best practices and lessons learnt for sharing with stakeholders.
Support continuous quality improvement (CQI) assessments for project’s interventions.
Implement the M&E annual work plan for budgeting and planning purposes.
Provide technical assistance and mentorship on M&E to project teams, county team and the facilities.
Collaborate with other teams to strengthen EGPAF M&E and QI systems.
Support the roll out of CloudEMR implementation.
Provide guidance in the enhancements needed in the innovation approaches around the EMR.
Support the documentation of best practices within the organization.
To Be Successful, You Will Have
Bachelors in Biostatics, Health Information Management Systems or Health Records and Information from a recognized University.
Minimum of 7 years’ experience on monitoring and evaluation and data management for a Health related program with strong data analysis and visualization skills using any data visualization software.
Familiar with NASCOP tools and PEPFAR reporting systems.
Proficiency in computer packages for generating and analyzing reports e.g PowerBI, R, MySQL, advanced Excel and others.
Familiar with the MOH data systems implementation e.g KenyaEMR, DHIS2.
Bonus Points If You Have
A master’s degree will be an added advantage.
