Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot and repair mechanical problems in machinery and equipment, including diagnosing issues related to bearings, gears, conveyors, pumps, and other mechanical systems
Perform preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment, including regularly scheduled inspections, lubrication and cleaning of mechanical components, and replacement of worn or damaged parts
Install and modify mechanical systems as necessary, such as adding new equipment or improving existing systems
Ensure compliance with all relevant mechanical codes, regulations, and safety protocols, and provide guidance and support to other staff members regarding mechanical safety practices
Work collaboratively with other maintenance and production staff to ensure that equipment downtime is minimized and production goals are met
Maintain accurate records of mechanical maintenance and repair activities, including equipment logs, maintenance schedules, and inventory of mechanical supplies and spare parts
Keep up-to-date with advances in mechanical technology and equipment and participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to maintain and enhance skills.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred; equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
At least 3-5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in a food manufacturing environment
Knowledge of mechanical systems, including bearings, gears, conveyors, and pumps, and the ability to read and interpret mechanical schematics and blueprints
Familiarity with industrial mechanical standards and codes, and the ability to apply these standards to ensure mechanical safety in the workplace
Flexibility to work outside of regular business hours to address urgent maintenance needs.
