Responsibilities
Under the direct supervision of the Focal Point for the UNEA 5/1 resolution, the contractor will undertake the following duties.
Facilitate and guide the process of collaboratively working on the implementation of the resolution jointly with the partnersand CPRs
Organize and facilitate regular the resolution’s partners meetings, workshops, including the preparation of backgrounddocuments, meeting reports and translations.
Collect and analysis of information as well as preparation of data presentations and reports for information sharing,responding to queries, knowledge management, planning and decision making.
Update information on Animal Welfare through communication with Partners and shareholders via reports.
Develop the initial scoping and planning of the process with specific goals, deliverables/list of activities, budgets and timelineof the report.
Develop a mapping of stakeholders and a report on the key stakeholder’s engagement analysis.
Develop the methodological approach for the nexus assessment.
Plan and organize a workshop with member states to gather initial inputs on process and design.
Develop the scoping assessment report
Plan the development and implementation of partner, resource mobilization and private sector engagement strategies.
Qualifications/special skills
An advanced university degree (MSc level or higher) in the social, behavioural or management sciences is required. A first level degree with additional two years of qualifying experience maybe accepted in lieu of advanced degree.
A minimum of 7 years of postgraduate work experience in knowledge management and organizational learning to facilitate partnership building in diverse multi-stakeholder environments is required
Experience facilitating high level working groups of diverse stakeholders is required
Experience in partnership building processes and change/process management is required
Experience in sustainable development work is required
Ability to facilitate multi-stakeholder discussions on complex and controversial issues with impartiality and neutrality is required.
