Business Analyst

Roles and Responsibilities

Gather, analyze and document health related business processes from stakeholders.
Create detailed business analysis plans, outlining problems, opportunities and solutions.
Communicate findings and recommendations to all relevant stakeholders.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive project success and ensure alignment with business goals.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of solutions by participating in the quality assurance processes and making changes as needed to continuously improve technical solutions.
Develop OHRI program workflows from data collection forms, clinical dashboards with decision support summaries, monitoring and clinical reports.
Support the development of integrations and interoperability between OHRI and other systems such as LIS and CBS.
Work with HIS business analysts, developers, and IT support staff to support the country implementation initiatives in various public health facilities across countries.
Undertake such other tasks within the scope of the role as directed by leadership from time to time.

Required knowledge, skills and abilities:

Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment with cross-functional teams to accomplish objectives
Experience in software design, analysis, and process improvement
Understanding of software development life cycles
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Keen attention to details
Ability to conduct research into systems issues and products as required
Ability to communicate ideas to both technical and non-technical people
Highly self-motivated and directed
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a timely manner
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Experience & Qualifications:

Qualifications in a health-related field (Public health, Clinical medicine, Nursing, Health Information and Records Management, Monitoring & Evaluation)
3+ years of experience
Strong domain knowledge in HIV, Tuberculosis, UNAID 95-95-95 targets, TB Epidemic control, and/or Health Informatics
Experience with EMRs in PEPFAR-funded programs is a requirement
Experience working with OpenMRS system will be an added advantage
