Job Description
The incumbent shall be responsible for execution of Food hygiene audits.
Main duties and responsibilities:
Support ongoing audits for the existing HEP clients and maintain a consistent schedule as per the contractual terms of service.
Prepare and conduct food safety audits (including food sampling) at client’s facilities and issue timely audit reports (both lab and site
Ensure consistency of reporting and timely invoicing.
Prepare and conduct various Supplier Audits, GMP, HACCP, OSHA as may be requested from time to time. Keep a log of man-days in all audit activities carried out.
At all times during hospitality audits, ensure compliance to Local Regulations, HACCP and Federation of Tour Operators (FTO) requirements.
At all times, comply with SGS Code of Integrity and Professional Conduct Safety and OI- Ensure compliance to SGS safety, operation Integrity, policies and procedures and register zero injuries.
Adopt at all times a safe behavior by exercising due regard for HSE of SGS employees
Carry out any other assignment as may be advised from time to time
Qualifications
At least a HND or Degree in Food Technology/ Microbiology/Environmental Health or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution.
Must have successfully completed a recognized HACCP and ISO 22000:2018 training.
Good knowledge of GMP, HACCP and Food Safety Principles.
Advantageous if one has food hygiene audit experience as an auditor or under the guidance of the fully qualified food safety/hygiene auditor.
Good knowledge of local and international food safety standards and regulations.
Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills and ability to interact professionally with clients at all levels.
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to work under minimal supervision
