Key Responsibilities
Map out driving routes ahead of time to determine the most expedient trip
Safely transporting University staff, designated officers / clients to and from designationsas scheduled.
Collect payments from students and issue receipts as advised.
Ensure the university vehicle only carries out official assigned duties unless authorized for other tasks.
Listen to traffic and weather reports to stay up-to-date on road conditions.
Ensure good cleanliness and maintenance of the assigned vehicles at all times.
Schedule regular car service appointments as expected and report any issues
Keep mileage records and repair records up-to-date
Ensure the vehicle is always fueled and ready for use as scheduled.
Report any accidents, injuries, and vehicle damage to University Management.
Qualification & Competencies Required
A valid driver’s license
Availability of PSV Badge
Proven experience as a driver with about 3-5 years with a clean driving record
Significant experience in fleet management and / or logistics including operating buses.
Availability to be flexible and occasionally take weekend and night shifts
Understanding of policies and procedures governing the management of vehicles and traffic rules.
Experience operating heavy commercial will be added advantage.
