Deputy Security Manager

Responsibilities

Maintaining security of the premise both property and personnel;
Contribute to a strategic approach to the security section.
Writing Incident Reports
Assistance in Maintaining effective relationships with external and internal customers
Facilitate the operation of CCTV, security and access systems
Maintain surveillance of the site, including monitoring all personnel while on site
Monitor, manage, control and record all communications across the site
Support and assist the Security Officers, as required
Intra and inter departmental liaison within the company to ensure the company’s security objectives are actualised.
Planning and implementing comprehensive Security SOPs for the factory company weighbridges
Controlling the contracted Security guards monitoring and incidents documenting and following up on pending issues within the factory
Providing support to the Security Manager on a daily basis
Training Security guards on Security operations standards.
Ensuring compliance with company policies and Security industry regulations within the factory and Weighbridges

Qualifications
Formal Education and Professional Qualifications:

‘O’ level education with a minimum mean grade C (Plain) or Division III
Background in discipline forces with clean separation record is must.
Relevant professional training with a minimum of Diploma in Security Training or equivalent with knowledge of law.
A recognized university degree and Competence in Driving (BCE), Dog Handling, Computer knowledge (MS Office) and unarmed combat skills,
Experience with electronic alarms, access control equipment, CCTV and other sophisticated technology based security systems,
Previous clean record in disciplined services and basic accounting knowledge is an added advantage,
Must be medically and physically fit with no criminal record and a valid Police Clearance Certificate (Certificate Good Conduct) from the Kenya Police PCR.

Relevant working experience:

Proven management and communication skills, excellent planning, organisation and analytical skills; including report writing and computer skills.
High integrity with excellent team and interpersonal skills, with strong customer. orientation, tact and diplomacy.
Basic understanding of Kenyan law, particularly; the Penal Code, Criminal Procedure Code, Evidence Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act of Kenya.
At least 5 years’ verifiable track record of effectiveness in a similar senior security position.
