Park Project Manager

Job Summary :
The project involves a residential estate with key features of a 10 acre park with large water features and its infrastructure. The role will require assisting the design team, plan, and supervise the construction of the park. It will require 20 years plus extensive knowledge and understanding of both indigenous and exotic trees, shrubs, flowers and having built large parks that have unique water features. 
Job Specifications :

Assist the development team with the design of the park
Come up with cost effective solutions
Create project budget and schedule for approval by management
Negotiate contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements
Obtain permits and licences from appropriate authorities
Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary constraints
Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met
Oversee and ensure sufficient management of stores and procurement on site
Evaluate cash flow reports, repair cost, risks, production rates etc
With HSE Team, ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues
Ensure adherence to all quality standards and specifications
Mentor,monitor and motivate teams to achieve productivity and engagement
Ensure adherence to company procedures and policies
Suggest improvements to company procedures

Job Qualifications :

First hand experience in developing large landscape gardening and parks
Excellent knowledge on trees, shrubs, grass, flowers in Kenya
Experience in managing project with huge water features will be an added advantage
20 years plus knowledge in both exortic and indigenous trees, shrubs and flowers 
Can work with and manage subcontractors 
Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards
Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
Excellent organisational and time-management skills
A team player with leadership abilities
