Duties and Responsibilities

An officer at this level will be assigned roads engineering duties and will work 
under close supervision of a senior officer. Duties and responsibilities include:-
Detailed design, supervision of construction and maintenance of classifiedand unclassified roads
Design of bridges and other drainage structures
Preparation of tender documents
Assist to oversee Quality Control of County Projects
Performing any other duties as may be assigned

Requirements for Appointment

Served in grade of Assistant Engineer I (Roads/Materials) or a comparable and relevant position for at least three (3) years
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Equivalent and relevant qualification from a recognized institution.
Must be registered with Engineer’s Registration Board of Kenya 
Current valid annual practicing license from the Engineer’s Registration Board of Kenya
Corporate Membership with institution of Engineers of Kenya (IEK)
Attended a Project Development and Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution
Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results
