Core Responsibilities
To plan and uphold mechanical and maintenance schedules by preparing daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual maintenance schedules that guarantee motor vehicles, equipment availability, and legal compliance at optimal cost.
Carry out regular inspection of motor vehicles, motor bikes, generator, fire engine and farm equipment to proactively identify required repairs, spares, tools, equipment, and materials. This also includes carrying out troubleshooting/fault diagnosis on motor vehicles, motor bikes, generator, fire engine and farm equipment and provide solutions promptly to support seamless operations and minimal business disruption arising from motor vehicle related failures.
In liaison with the senior mechanic, provide support to the procurement function to ensure timely and quality acquisition and delivery of motor vehicles and other equipment spare parts.
To be actively involved in continual improvement projects to contribute to the company’s journey towards operational excellence. This includes being involved in the efficiency improvement and modernization of machinery in the factory.
Updating of repairs and maintenance records and reports on time for planning and decision making.
Minimum Requirements
Diploma in Automotive engineering or equivalent
4 years’ experience repairing both petrol and diesel engines. Auto electric skills / car diagnosing skills using auto scanner machine will be an added advantage.
Good communication skills and knowledge in use of basic computer software skills.
Holder of a valid driving license with experience driving in the busy Nairobi environment and its surroundings. Possession of a PSV license will be an added advantage.
