Job Summary
Managing Director will report to the Board of Directors; the Managing Director is the Principal Accounting officer of the company and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the company.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:

Offering effective strategic plan/leadership to achieve corporate objectives and attain key performance targets.
Ensuring safe custody and management of company’s assets.
Planning, coordinating and implementing all activities of the company in line with the policies and directives approved by the Board of Directors
Ensuring proper management, operational efficiency and corporate reporting requirement of the company
Promoting the company’s image and developing a good working relationship with all stakeholders and partners,
Ensuring compliance with Government policies and regulations.
Developing and maintaining a conducive working environment for attracting, retaining and motivating employees.
Fostering a corporate culture that promotes best ethical practices and good corporate citizenship.
Effective day to day management and ensuring continuous development of the capacity and competence of the Company’s staff
Ensuring that there is effective communication between the management and the Board of Directors as well as between different levels of management
Anticipating technological and other important developments and/or potential risk and formulating relevant policies for approval by the Board of Directors
Ensuring compliance with /License conditions as provided by (WASREB)
Any other responsibilities as may be necessary to achieve the company’s objectives

JOB QUALIFICATION
 The candidate should have;

Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university in the field of Engineering and Business Management.
Must have a Master’s Degree in Business or in Engineering field.
 At least 10(ten) years working experience, 5 (five) of which must be in water sector.
Must have excellent communication skills, Problem solving skills, Project Management and data analysis, proposal writing and ICT skills.
Leadership and team building skills.
A registered member of a professional body.
Demonstrable compliance with Chapter Six of the Constitution on Leadership and Integrity

Key Skills and Competences:

Must have basic Accounting software and any other ERP software skills.
Demonstrated initiative and creativity
Excellent inter-personal, communication and negotiation skills
Strong management and organization skills
Proven people management skills
