Team Description:
The Hub Managed Countries (HMC) and Financial Institutions Group (FIG) is seeking a Relationship Analyst to support BCMA senior coverage offers and relationship managers in the delivery of client solutions. 
Relationship Analyst Description:
The Relationship Analyst is a junior position that is integral to the corporate banking coverage teams with the core responsibility of working closely with relationship managers, risk partners, product partners, Citi’s global network and clients to lead and manage day to day internal and externally facing client activities that are the backbone of Citi’s relationships with clients and fundamental to Citi’s regulatory compliance initiatives.The relationship analyst needs to develop and leverage a breadth of contacts in support of Banking, Capital Markets and Advisory overall business growth strategies.
Responsibilities:

Facilitate credit originations, credit allocation approvals, documentation (parent guarantees, loan and transaction documentation, etc)
Seek risk approvals and support risk processes globally including a key role as part of the first line of defense in critically thinking about advocacy for credit requests to our risk team and supporting periodic credit documentation (e.g. where support is needed for annual reviews and international risk processes (e.g. CEP)
Partner with product partners and relationship managers to perform various Know Your Client (KYC) requirements including timely origination, monitoring, renewals and completion across all product and marketing levels
Assist with banker activities including making relationship decisions and assisting in closing transactions as needed
Assist bankers with preparation of relationship reviews and client portfolio data
Build relationships with various internal and external audiences to ensure proactive client support and communication, timely problem resolution and overall contributions to positive overall client experience
Support corporate banking teams on broader franchise projects and initiatives
Appropriately assess risk and returns when business decisions are mane demonstrating consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citi and its clients and assets by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to police, applying sound ethical judgement regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Perform financial and operational investigations, including credit, foreign exchange, cash management and trade services, ensuring timely resolution and client satisfaction
Assist Banker with the preparation of relationship reviews and client portfolios
Identify revenue opportunities, position certain products with clients and monitor billing and service queries, as well as correct mapping/marketing hierarchies in Citi Investment Strategies (CIS) to ensure revenues earned from all products are appropriately reflected.

Qualifications:

2+ years of transaction banking experience with focus on customer services, transaction services preferred
Some credit skills/experience (e.g. financial accounting, industry awareness and interest, loan structuring, etc) preferred, but with good analytical aptitude and desire to learn, sound judgement required
Prior experience with KYC for FIG clients is a plus
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Understanding the bank’s credit culture, adhering to credit policies and guidelines and documenting and justifying exceptions, where appropriate

Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication

Education:

Bachelor’s degree/University degree with minimum second upper honours
