Kenya Marketing Coordinator

Job Purpose/Mission

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Marketing Coordinator is responsible for developing and executing the plans and strategies that will raise the kind of awareness that can drive sales for the company. The marketing coordinator is required to stay informed about the market, industry trends, and the competitive landscape, while helping strategize and implement marketing, branding, and advertising plans. Day to day, he or she may draft reports, create or coordinate content, track results, build relationships with sales teams, and otherwise support all marketing strategies.

Responsibilities

Assist in the development and implementation of the company’s brand strategy.
Ensure all marketing efforts serve to achieve immediate and long-term business goals, identifying and executing improvements for processes, content, and lead generation.
Prepare marketing activity reports and metrics for measuring program success.
Provide market research, forecasts, competitive analyses, campaign results, and consumer trends.
Support the maintenance and development of internal tools, including social media tracker, tracking capability, global contact directory, and intranet sites.
Further knowledge and education regularly through workshops, research, and seminars, and share best practices, and local marketing ideas and tactics with the team.
Support the Marketing Manager in evaluating and establishing the marketing plan and strategy by assembling and analyzing sales forecasts, setting objectives, planning, and organizing promotional presentations, and updating calendars.
Communicate campaign objectives, timelines, and deliverables to sales team, and provide instructions for use or promotion.
Third parties Management effectiveness:

Regular review of KPIs, performance assessment vs KPIs along with related internal and external reporting
Ensure third parties understands the context of their roles in relation to Engie Energy Access, Kenya’s strategy.
Assess and monitor the training and development needs of the third parties.
Ensure third parties have the resources they require to perform their work.

Knowledge And Skills

Experience:

Have practical knowledge and relevant work experience of not less than 2 years as a Marketing Coordinator
Communicate campaign objectives, timelines, and deliverables to sales team, and provide instructions for use or promotion
Knowledge of traditional and digital marketing, content marketing, and social media marketing

Qualifications:

Be a holder of a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business or Marketing gained from a recognized institution
