This is a senior position in the company. He/She will be reporting to the Enterprise/ Technical Manager for the day to day operations and will be in the Technical Department.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Run and Manage Wandiege Water Supply and Sanitation Company water supply system as a Utility Manager
Support the day to day technical functions of SHL as assistant manager;
Backstopping field teams on technical matters in all utilities under SHL;
Planning and implementation of strategies geared towards improved water supply performance
Ensure reduction of (NRW) ;
Supporting Utilities on Operation and maintenance of water supply facilities;
Supporting the Utilities on management of utility assets within our area of jurisdiction;
Supervision and training (on-the job) of own staff and in other SHL Utilities
Supporting the Utilities in preparation of performance improvement plans, proposals for funding and annual budgets;
Support Utilities to develop and execute strategies to improve revenue collection geared towards sustainability of the Utilities.
Minimum Requirements
Must have at least Higher National Diploma in Water engineering from a reputable institution.
Those with BSc in Civil/Water Engineering will have added advantage.
Shall have at least three (3) years relevant post qualification working experience in a busy water institution.
Must be computer literate, good team player and willing to embrace incentive driven performance contracting
Willingness to work in the field
Willingness to be transferred to any other SANA Rural Utilities
