Key Responsibilities
Execute the Modern Trade Tier II’s Accounts sales plan in line with business strategy.
Execute comprehensive action plans that ensure sales target achievement through driving listing, availability, and visibility in Tier II’s.
Guide and monitor customer activities to ensure we increase our sales volumes and revenues through trade activities.
Performance management of the team to ensure all are aligned to the strategic direction of the company.
Manage and maintain debt collection rates at acceptable levels for key accounts.
Merchandising Excellence
Ensure effective shelf displays are in place. (Interruption Points – IP’s)
Check on pricing RRP adherence
Ensure current placement of current Point of sale materials both inside and outside the outlet or as the case may be.
MT Execution Excellence
Ensure all category focus brands are available and visible as per the developed brand plan.
Negotiate for a share of the shelf (SOS) at the first Position-Hotspots/ decision corridors.
Ensure quality of product from content to the pack as well as team regarding personal appearance/grooming.
Market Intelligence
Conduct comprehensive like for like; Comparative Pricing Survey; comparative product specs including SKUs; comparative promotions, and offers; comparative conversion rate; comparative route to market.
Design for approval and sign off of Business Plans
Execution of approved joint business plans with the accounts.
Follow up on all components of the ideal business plans covering: (i) Growth Rebates (ii) Data Sharing (iii) Share of Shelf (SOS) (iv) Swell Allowance
Relationship Management
To apply individual inborn communication skill, trustworthiness
To develop business and update individualized relationship management toolbox (KYC-know your customer) for personalized customer care and attention.
Analyze and resolve work problems
By executing leading edge Tier II’s outlets MT programs to counter competitor and related issues
Timely reporting on activity monitoring and evaluation
Qualifications & Experience
Diploma in a Business-related field from a reputable university.
Minimum 3years experience, 1 of which should be in a similar role preferably in the FMCG sector.
Ability to analyze sales performance metrics.
Experience in FMCG/ manufacturing industry in the same capacity.
