Who we are looking for
Our team is looking for an individual who will guide, lead and inspire the team to uncover meaningful human-centered insights, build and test concepts to drive great design, innovation and intervention for our clients and internal projects. You are someone who is capable of leading project teams and clients to deliver new offers and validated concepts to market using a discovery-driven approach. In this role, you will be involved in all parts of our design process: proposal writing, client relationship development, user and design research, concept development, prototyping, facilitation, strategy and design leadership.

What you will be doing
You’ll work with and lead the team to understand the client context, collect and interpret relevant data, develop insights, explore and define growth opportunities, define strategy, create tangible concepts, communicate the vision, and ultimately help our clients get new offers to market.
Once here, from time to time and depending on the priority, you will:
Collaborate with clients to understand their business challenges and opportunities and to help identify and prioritize their near and long term goals
Lead the team in conducting a wide variety of research, drive research synthesis, develop key insights at appropriate depth and communicate the insights in creative ways to inform design interventions and strategic decision making and build, prototype and pilot actual concepts to deliver value
Design, scope, and run research that helps us tackle our internal design challenges
Create compelling and impactful presentations, briefs to creatively articulate research design and findings.
Work collaboratively with, and lead others in the design process and build alignment to deliver value, quality and impact for our clients and stakeholders.
Plan and facilitate human-centered design workshops and design sprints
Provide mentorship to junior designers to enable them to grow in the research and design space.
Lead and inspire multidisciplinary project teams and clients while delivering exceptional work
Contribute to the overall organizational culture, strategy and approaches
What you bring
You are someone with 3 to 6 years of qualitative research experience
You have deep experience with qualitative research methods, such as: conducting one-on-one interviews and ethnographic-style fieldwork; moderating group conversations, running live prototyping sessions, conducting co-design workshops, and engaging users remotely. You’d also have some solid experience with quantitative methods, such as surveys, experiments, or secondary data analysis.
You have experience leading a team and partnering with clients to bring a variety of concepts and products to life and to market
You are comfortable navigating end-to-end innovation life cycles from research to pilots
Ability to work flexibly and efficiently, exercise a balance between research rigor and inspiration.
Eagerness to stretch your toolkit including new digital research tools, quantitative and qualitative research, service design, business design and human-centered systems thinking frameworks
Experience using technology and digital methods to uncover needs
Exceptional communication and storytelling skills;
A strong passion for improving people’s lives and solving challenges through design.
Business and consulting savvy, with an ability to think and lead strategically and make strategic decisions
