The Role
The Impact and Evidence Analyst will play a key role in designing, developing and applying tools to collect, analyse and communicate evidence of the impact of mission delivery for systems change within World Animal Protection. The post-holder will embed and maintain key Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) processes and systems to obtain insights into long-term changes for animals and in communities that result from World Animal Protection’s campaigns.
The role will be responsible for developing and managing the impact measurement framework and will work across World Animal Protection to communicate impact and evidence effectively to internal and external stakeholders. They will be the key analytical function within the MEAL team. The post-holder will consider how World Animal Protection’s work fits into the bigger picture to inform organisational strategy.
The role will primarily be responsible for reviewing the logic and causality behind campaigns through data analysis to ensure that the implementation of activity is delivering the desired impact and behavioural change in line with World Animal Protection’s overarching strategy. Through effective internal communication of MEAL findings, they will increase organisational understanding of the role of consequences, assumptions and bias in campaigns.
Requirements
Experience in a field or industry related to environmental and/or social impact.
Experience designing results frameworks and theories of change as part of developing monitoring and evaluation frameworks that ensure accountability and learning.
Deep expertise in data collection and analysis.
Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills with the ability to quickly and accurately assimilate and analyse information.
Big picture thinking with an ability to tackle complex problems.
Ability to communicate methods, results and recommendations from complex analysis to people at all levels across World Animal Protection, both written and verbally
Excellent IT skills across the MS suite of programmes and willingness to learn new computer packages, software and document management systems
Experience of working to tight deadlines within a team, contributing to the delivery of first class, inspiring and strategic work which supports the overall organisational objectives.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills; excellent written and spoken English.
