Clearing Operations Supervisor Emerging Markets Analyst Program, EMEA

It ensures global transactions flow smoothly around the clock, wherever we do business. Without it, the daily clearance, settlement and execution of a trillion dollars’ worth of trades and the weekly movement of tens of billions of dollars in dozens of world currencies would come to a complete standstill.
Responsibilities:

Create customized transaction services reports based on data analysis
Monitor and research errors to ensure adherence to audit and control policies
Resolve transaction services issues and use technical expertise/ judgment to conduct complex analysis
Anticipate and respond to requests for transaction deliverables from internal and external clients and vendors
Develop and recommend strategic decisions based off in-depth comprehension of how the operations team interacts with others business unites in accomplishing objectives
Assist with providing informal guidance or on-the-job-training to new team members as required
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Assist the Senior Operations Management in determining and planning for the departmental needs.
Ensure smooth flow of processing of all transactions through the internal and external Clearing processes.
Meticulous transaction authorization given the sensitive nature of the Clearing function with special emphasis on the financial impact on the Bank. 
Execution of automation of processes and enhancements to improve on productivity.
Responsible for tracking and reporting on Key Risk Indicators triggers by the department.
Liaison on issues affecting the Banking Industry on Clearing systems and processes, Participation in the KBA clearing sub-committee
Ensuring adherence to regulations, Funding of DFCC accounts, Attendance to the clearing house, clearing house transactions
Query resolution, clarification of transactions, fraud related issues

Qualifications:

5 years of experience in a related role within clearing / cash operations management
Effective verbal and written skills
Effective communication and analytical skills
Effective relationship management skills
Expert level proficiency in Windows, MS Project, and MS Office Suite
Conversance with all procedures and policies governing Clearing.
Mastery of the clearing processes and functionalities

Education:

Bachelor’s/University degree with Second upper honours or equivalent qualification
