Data Visualisation Analyst

We are looking for a Data Visualisation Analyst  to join the team at an exciting time as we focus energy and attention on improving the visualisation of Tearfund’s programmatic, evaluation and research data to help evidence our impact.
The role will sit within the Strategy & Impact Group working across the organisation to improve the quality and visualisation of Tearfund’s impact and strategic data for both internal and external audiences.
The Strategy & Impact Group:

Develops and supports Tearfund’s corporate strategy and all strategic planning
Helps equip Tearfund and partners to demonstrate the impact of the organisation through monitoring and evaluation
Gathers evidence to build up a picture of what works best and share information about our impact across the whole organisation

Do you have experience in:

Developing data driven infographics with a strong understanding of graphic design fundamentals
Data structures and using SQL to retrieve and aggregate data
Using PowerBI or other business intelligence tools for organisation wide dashboards
Conveying results clearly (orally and in writing) to nontechnical users

Do you have the knowledge and understanding of:

Cleaning and verifying relevant sources of data for visualisation
Excellent statistics skill
Improving the visualisation of data to help display evidence 
Building colleagues skills in using data for decision making and learning

Qualifications 

Educated to degree level or equivalent experience working in this area
Degree or equivalent experience focused in Data analytics; informatics or data science

Experience 

Proven experience in developing data driven infographics with a strong understanding of graphic design fundamentals.
Strong experience and proficiency of business intelligence tools like Power BI for reporting, dashboarding and visualisation purposes
Experience of data structures and using SQL to retrieve and aggregate data.
Experience in data validation & cleansing
Experience communicating results clearly (orally and in writing) to nontechnical users / all levels in organisation
