PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
Reporting to the Head of Business Development – The Broker Consultant will drive sales and achieve premium targets for the respective channel of business and accelerate growth of the same by acquiring new partners and growing the already established partnerships.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Generate business revenues to meet targets and objectives
Undertake daily marketing activities and business sourcing
Actively identify and pursue prospective relationships with suitable partners.
Prepare proposals and presentations to prospective partners for the purpose of securing partnerships and business
Facilitate training sessions for existing and prospective partners on the Company’s products and offerings
Gather market intelligence and undertake regular feedback on satisfaction with the Company’s product offerings to improve premium income and company market share.rn Ensure strict compliance to cash /carry guidelines and submit debt collection reports as required.
Follow up on premium payment by business partners and ensure that payments are submitted in adherence to the Company’s Credit Policy
Prepare and submit monthly reports on business acquisition efforts and achievements for the channels.
Provide timely feedback to management regarding emerging market needs and trends.
Any other duties as may be assigned by the management from time to time.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field
ACII/ IIK qualification
Over 5 years’ experience in Insurance sales and intermediary engagement
Good understanding of general business insurance principles and practices in Kenya
Required skills and Competencies
Excellent written and oral communication and customer service skills
Good in relationship building
Planning and organization skills
