Go To Market Manager

Role purpose

Responsible for developing and implementing the EAF Maize Go-To-Market (GtM) strategies and campaigns (as core crop) for channel segments and key farmers with the view to achieving sustainable profitability and market share consistent with the KPI’s, by satisfying current and future customer needs through tailored solutions.
Enable EAF to execute effectively on the Maize GtM strategies.

Key responsibilities and tasks

 Develop & implement short-, mid- and long-term integrated Go to Market (GtM) strategies and campaigns for Maize, adapting global and smallholder crop strategies to EAF customer segment needs and requirements.
 Ensure that GtM strategies are effectively implemented through tactical marketing plans across EAF based on customer segmentation
 Define product/solution needs to achieve strategies and collaborate with regional crop teams to ensure availability of such products/solutions for maize/crop rotation systems
 Develop value proposition of products and tailored solutions based on collaboration with Market Development, Breeding, Field Solutions and Sales organizations
Manage and co-ordinate pricing and market funding strategy as part of the GtM strategy to ensure profitable business growth in EAF
Define tailored solutions and translate into GtM strategies and marketing campaigns. 
Act as the key maize customer marketing contact for EAF ensuring effective implementation of GtM strategy
Analyze maize market, macro-trends, customer needs and competitor strategies to identify new business opportunities based upon unmet needs of current and new customers, including partners in the food value chain.
Collaborate with business intelligence and customer engagement team to generate necessary customer insight to develop customer centric GtM strategies and aligned campaigns
Effectively evaluate the crop business potential in EAF and allocate GtM resources accordingly for efficient Campaign definition and execution
Lead, prepare and manage EAF maize crop team.
Ensure dedicated involvement of interfaces in developing tailored solutions on a needed basis (Digital, FS, RS, MD, etc.)
Support efficient implementation of key Stewardship measures as part of the tailored crop solution.
Contribute to talent development in EAF by developing relevant competencies through continuous feedback and mentorship
Collaborate with internal and external partners across EAF to ensure the development and effective implementation of EAF GtM strategies
Collaborate with customer centric and ‘on the ground’ Maize Customer Marketing Team in EAF and place customer needs, value proposition and practical implementation central to all decision making

Experience, Skills and Qualifications

Degree in Agronomy and/or Business Administration.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in Marketing, Strategic planning and/or Sales.
Solid knowledge of agricultural systems and farm agronomy with relevance to EAF.
Ability to develop and integrate grower segment insights/needs into innovative GtM strategies to expand customer base and grow the business
Ability to utilize complex data points to understand market trends and anticipate future requirements.
Ability to develop/execute differentiating strategies based on compelling and novel solutions for customer needs.
Ability to develop and implement successful strategic business plans aligned to customer needs within the agricultural sector
Ability to develop, foster and utilize a broad base of networks at all levels of the organization and across geographies and integration to strategic needs.
Ability to drive change in complex and stable organization while not being disruptive to the business.
Ability to collaborate/communicate with and develop internal and external partnerships
