Accountant – Matatu Town- Machakos County

Job Description

The ideal candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the company’s Accounting Operations and report to the directors.

Key Responsibility

Book keeping, invoicing and reconciliation of statements
Business operations reports on sales, purchases, customer volumes etc 
File all KRA returns and monthly  statutory submissions
In charge monitoring and reconciling all on line payments eg Mpesa, Visa etc
Supplier and stock management including periodical stock take
Preparation of timely  Financial Reports and share with directors
Liaising with external auditors and coordinating audits
Continuous improvement of accounting and operational controls to check fraud and pilferage in liaison with station manager
Credit control management and compliance of all government requirements

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years solid Accounting experience preferably in the retail industry
CPA Qualifications Minimum Section II
Proven work experience as an Accountant preferably in the retail industry with a minimum of 3 years solid experience
Good knowledge of bookkeeping procedures and hands on experience with Quick books
Exceptional documentation, presentation and  reporting skills
Good organizational and time-management skill
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
