Finance Analyst Partnering (12 months contract)

Job Purpose
As a Finance Analyst – Partnering, you will be responsible for supporting the finance business partnering activities under Pharma Kenya which includes monthly reporting & decision support to the Pharma commercial team (Sales & Marketing).
Essential Job Responsibilities:

Responsible for carrying period close checks and reconciliations including but not limited to sales, gross profit, SG&A
Ensure timely release of approved customer rebates and credit notes
Support internal and external audits with data provision requests
Carry out daily and monthly checks as spelt out in the internal control framework and ensure compliance relevant standard operation procedures
Support the forecasting and planning cycles, by providing necessary analysis and data to aid in decision making
Prepare monthly departmental spend trackers, present these to departmental HoDs for discussion to ensure cost control against the agreed budget.
Provide financial analysis as inputs for discussion or presentation for the key business meetings (monthly performance reviews, brand reviews, leadership meetings)
Assist with ad hoc requests as required from the finance and commercial organizations
Support the completion of global processes such as ATP, net cost flip, plan updates
Provide the commercial teams with financial analysis and information to support tactical decision making on commercial agreements, trade incentives and offers

Why you?
Basic Qualifications:

University degree in Accounting & Finance is required and/or Chartered Accountancy professional qualification
1-2 years’ experience in a finance or analysis role

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong communication and interpersonal skills (ability to work across boundaries)
Good understanding of MS Office especially MS Excel
Analytical and numeracy skills
Commercial understanding/experience
Ability to influence and impact cross functional teams and stakeholders; both internal and external
High sense of ownership and accountability
Essential personal qualities required, strategic thinking, initiative, innovative approach, leadership, enthusiasm, tenacity, effective communication, and interpersonal skills
