ABOUT YOU
You are a senior finance and accounting leader, and a registered CPA (or equivalent). You are a self-starter with experience as a ‘top-performer’ at a leading international organization, a passion for international development, and an entrepreneurial spirit.
Required qualifications
Multinational experience essential and required, including in one or more frontier/emerging market contexts such as Sub-Saharan African and/or South Asia
Registered CPA (or equivalent), with Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related field
Minimum 4 years as a Controller (Director-level), or equivalent
Minimum of 5 years public accounting and finance experience
Familiarity with one or more complex global ERP systems such as Deltek/Maconomy
Experience driving transformation and efficiencies in controls and accounting systems
Able to centrally consolidate accounting information across foreign operations and prepare robust consolidated financials for audit/tax purposes
Strong analytical, technology, communication and organizational skills
Demonstrated success managing and working across a high-energy, multicultural team spread around the globe, including in training and coaching accounting and finance skills, and passion for supporting a global team to achieve the necessary levels of skills and independence to execute their role effectively
Interest in working in a fast-paced, always-on, entrepreneurial organization, and track record of being “hands-on” and work directly on details when necessary to get tasks done
English fluency
Additional ideal qualifications:
In addition to English fluency, fluency in French or other languages is a plus but not required
Ideally located and authorized to work in India or Sub-Saharan Africa
Ideally brings strong international tax experience
Technology or software experience highly preferred
Ideally 4+ years of work experience in a multi-national professional services firm (preferably a mid-sized and fast-growing firm)
Ideally served in the role of Chief Financial Officer, e.g. could be in a small or mid-size enterprise and/or non-professional services context
