We are looking for an experienced program manager with deep customer empathy, desire to learn and passion for problem solving. As companies embark on their digital transformations, they turn to Microsoft Identity division to give them secure, convenient, manageable, digital relationships with employees, customers and business partners. Tens of thousands of organizations, millions of users are successfully using Microsoft Identity services, such as Azure Active Directory, every month. Hundreds of thousands of developers are building powerful and secure applications that authenticate users with Microsoft identity platform or access high value data in the Microsoft cloud (such as Office 365 or Azure) with cloud APIs such as the Microsoft Graph.
In this role, you will imagine and drive new features that help customers better manage and enable new identity related scenarios for their organizations. Or you will design solutions for application developers to build applications critical to the business and valuable to end users.
There is a lot of cross-team collaboration and customer or partner connection in this role. You’ll need to be willing to create and maintain positive, productive relationships, including with remote teams, customers and partners distributed around the globe. There will be opportunities to experiment, use various sources of data, such as telemetry, to learn and apply a growth mindset. The most important skill for this role is the ability to connect with the target customer (depending on roles, this may include IT administrators, application developers, end users or other customer personas). You will learn a lot about the identity technologies and offerings, and about cloud security. The skills and experience you build in this role will be valuable for years to come as the world digitally transforms
Responsibilities
Listen to customers to understand their needs – depending on the role, this may include IT administrators, application developers, or other personas
Drive clarity on required work and partner with your feature team, user research, design, marketing and support to meet customer needs.
Collaborate with partner teams across Microsoft to build coherent experiences for customers and developers
Use data and analytics to discover insights into ways to improve or change the product
Develop documentation, training, and other collateral to complete the customer experience and drive adoption.
Qualifications
5+ years of product management experience in the software industry
BS Degree in a technical or engineering discipline
Experience with understanding customer needs (IT, developer, end users) and problem solving with customer empathy
Experience with security and identity is desired
Experience with programming languages and platforms is important in roles focused on application platform for developers
Collaboration, communication, partnering skills
