Data Scientist

About the Role
 
We are looking to fill in a Data Scientist who will help transform data into tangible business value by analyzing information, communicating outcomes and collaborating on product development.
The person will have the opportunity to address critical business drawbacks related to data, add intelligence to automate manual workflows and drive tangible business value.
Duties and Responsibilities

Work with the Directors throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions.
Mine and analyze data from company databases to drive optimization and improvement of product development, marketing techniques and business strategies.
Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques.
Develop custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets.
Use predictive modeling to increase and optimize customer experiences, revenue generation, ad targeting and other business outcomes.
Develop company A/B testing framework and test model quality.
Coordinate with different functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomes. 
Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy.
Get insights into product metrics and communicate those to parties
Partner with data engineers to ensure data access for discovery and proper data is prepared for model consumption.
Set KPIs and metrics to evaluate analytics solution given a particular use case.
Refine requirements into modelling problems.
Influence product teams through data-based recommendations.
Hands on management of the end-to-end AI lifecycle – data collection and preparation, exploratory data analysis, model selection/testing/validation, systematic model explainability, model interpretation in business terms and deploying the model for serving

Qualifications & Skills Desirable.

3+ years’ experience performing data analysis to support business decisions
BS in Data Science, Machine Learning, Statistics
Ability to understand, translate and map business and product questions into analysis projects
Experience working with structured and unstructured data
Experience building end-to-end data pipelines and deploying in the Cloud (AWS or Azure or GCP) 
Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges in an enterprise environment
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Ability to adapt to changing conditions and priorities
Experience with big data and reporting stacks
Experience designing / operating online services including defining and improving operational / business metrics
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
Ability to collaborate in a team environment
