About The Team
The sales team is responsible for taking the product to market and getting the best returns for our farmers’ hard work. We build long-term sustainable business relationships with different segments of customers, and go the extra mile to best meet their needs. As a team we also look at global and national trends and make sure we can anticipate future demand to be on top of the latest developments in the industry. Market research is done on a continuous basis to see where new opportunities may arise – be it in value-addition, processing, export or product diversification.
About This Role
A Sales Officer specializes in Customer Acquisition. You will be spearheading Komaza’s growth and expanding our customer base. You will be constantly researching the market and keep identifying potential customers for Komaza’s products. You will then successfully close Sales by matching Komaza’s products to the customer’s needs and professionally presenting Komaza’s products.
Where you’ll be Located
This role will be based in Nairobi, with upto 50% travel within Kenya.
What You Will Do
Identify potential customers through market research, scouting, networking
Prioritize leads and keep your pipeline active
Plan and execute outreach to potential customers and follow through
Effectively present Komaza’s products to match the customer’s needs and close the Sale
Track all appointments, sales, complaints, status reports, etc. thoroughly for manager review
What You Should Have
2+ years experience in customer acquisition / field sales
Strong written and verbal communication skills
A high degree of motivation and resilience
Experience working in fast-paced, demanding environment of a fast-growth company and comfortable with a changing environment
Experience in wood products or construction materials is a plus
Track record of successful customer acquisition in a B2B environment is a plus
