Job Description
Maintenance of the quality assurance system, quality coaching and improvement and ensuring CCBA standards are met.
The role involves supervision to the Quality Controllers QAQC’s incoming inspection QC, lab and sensory, QCs, Microbiologist and engagement with machine operators, shop-floor personnel and also across the manufacturing supply chain team leaders production, engineering technicians and contractors.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Understand and implement business strategic priorities
Align quality goals and objectives with business strategic priorities.
Engage with internal customers to develop partnerships and capability.
Ensure that product and package quality meets legal internal and TCCC requirements
Ensure quality governance, good manufacturing practice and good laboratory practice standards are maintained to ensure EBL product meets set specification.
Review and interpretation of SPC and infinity data and ensuring that this knowledge is extended to the production lines.
Manage the quality and the laboratory environment
Leads the CCBA QAQC, QC function.
Supervise and coordinate the water and wastewater treatment quality control and verification activities.
Drive problem solving and continuous improvement initiatives
Ensure that RCA processes relating to quality issues address the relevant root cause by leading and participating in 5-Whys.
Review quality issue trends and ensure that the appropriate problem solving process is followed where basic RCA processes do not address the issues.
Manage safety , health and environmental standards
Ensure compliance with safety, health and environmental policies and procedures as applicable within waste water, water treatment plants, QC labs.
Contribute to the management of sustainable development issues to achieve key sustainable development targets.
Human resource management
Ensure individual KPI’s are aligned to KPI’S of Country Management Team.
People development.
Reporting
Quality leading indicator, daily to SCW L2, weekly in SHEQ L2 .
Good manufacturing practice GMP – daily in L2, weekly GMP score and monthly reporting and tracking.
Any other duties as may be delegated from time to time.
Qualifications
Minimum requirement: Diploma in Analytical Chemistry, Food Science, Bio – Chemistry or Applied Biology or any related field.
Experience
Minimum 3 years experience as a Laboratory, Production preferably in a food production environment.
