Airtel Kenya wishes to recruit for the role of Corporate Communications & CSR Executive. This role reports directly to the Director, Legal and Regulatory. He/she will be responsible for re-enforcing the corporate and brand position internally and externally by managing company events/activities; ensuring good relations with the media, event partners and suppliers, monitor and adapts success stories about the Company. Investing sustainably to position the company as a true partner in community development in Kenya, to create an overall positive impact on society and relevant stakeholders.
The role holder duties will include but not limited to;

In consultation with the Director Legal & Regulatory Affairs Execution of Public Relations execute strategies, goal and objectives to enhance, sustain and build equity for the Airtel brand.
Execute agreed activities and projects as per the approved schedule
Manage the media portfolio, engagement, Company leadership profiles, sponsorship assets and events
Provide content to the company’s communication channels to increase the effectiveness and impact for employees, relevant stakeholders, media representatives and the public.
Regular review and update content on the company’s websites, give support in brand/promotional activities where necessary.
Assist in developing and implementing the CSR Strategy and implement approved initiatives line with the outlined CSR focus area
Serve as internal resource and external representative on CSR issues.
Conduct environmental impact analysis to highlight critical areas the company can impact the communities whilst benchmarking against other African countries, Airtel Africa, competition and industry best practices.
Drive staff and community participation in the implementation of identified CSR projects
Design and implement monitoring and evaluating tools with relevant stakeholders
Collaborate with relevant government agencies to ensure compliance to statutory requirement and ensure processes for evaluation of external partners
Collaborate with HR to develop and implement Employee Volunteer programs and recognition on the same.

Qualifications, Competencies and Behaviours required

Bachelor’s Degree in Communication, PR, Journalism, Business Administration or Mass communication
3 to 5 years’ relevant experience in Corporate Communications for a well-established brand.
Good analytical skills to identify, design and implement practical recommendations.
Commercially adept
High personal standards and goal oriented with a desire to excel
A team player with excellent interpersonal skills
Good leadership skills coupled with proactiveness, creativity and problem solving skills
Excellent and effective communications skills, both oral and written with keen attention to detail.
Good networking skills especially with governments, community leaders, NGOs,
Cultural sensitivity: aware and adept at working across multiple demographics
Good negotiation skills and commercial awareness.
