The successful candidate will:
Align, maintain, and manage systems as it pertains to ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 standards, protocols, and procedures
Establish and maintain an internal contractor audit to adhere to SE Avetta requirements or for obtaining/applying for various tenders
Coordinate and implement corrective ISO, site inspections action where shortfalls or inadequacies are identified
Attend Weekly SIM meetings to note issues and provide clarity whenever required
Manage the document control process and flow
Ensure compliance to permits, bylaws, SE Global and legislative requirements
Assis in drafting and reviewing Works Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures
Ensure compliance with company safety regulations and adherence to safety standards, including safety induction and training
Promote and ensure adherence to the safety policy and procedures
Keep management up to date and informed about legislative and SE Global requirements regarding Occupational health and safety changes
Develop safety manuals and training programmes to enhance safe working conditions
Identify unsafe acts, conditions, and hazards, investigate root causes, and identify corrective and preventative actions and report to management accordingly
Conduct workplace Hazard Identification and Risk Assessments, Design and implement responses thereto
Inspect the place of work to determine whether any machinery, plant, equipment, substance, appliances, or process is of such nature liable to cause bodily injury to any person working in the place of work
Investigate any accident, near-miss accident, dangerous occurrence, occupational poisoning, or occupational disease that occurred in the place of work, Design and implement responses to limit or prevent a recurrence hereof
Compile and submit health and safety related reports to management and third parties
Ensure all Injury-On-Duty’s are reported and investigated
Responsible for monitoring contractors and vendors working on Schneider Electric premises, Onsite under our supervision, to ensure that Health & Safety practices are always applied and upheld
About You
Qualifications
Qualification and Experience:
National Diploma in Safety Management, Environmental Management or equivalent.
Possession of NEBOSH certificate is an added advantage
At least 5 year’ experience in a production/manufacturing environment or just previous working environment will be advantageous
Experience in Risk Assessment &Hazard Identification
Experience in training facilitation will be advantageous
Basic knowledge/experience in the implementation and management of any ISO systems (9001, 14001, 45001)
Basic knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act
Knowledge of Occupational Regulations or anything equivalent
Computer literacy – MS Office, high proficiency in MS Excel
Hands on practical approach to the job
