Operations and Commercialisation Manager

Position Scope: The job holder will be responsible for driving operational efficiency, systems utilisations, compliance, process optimisation, innovations, partnership and stakeholder management and in charge of business back office support.
The role will also be key in driving captive revenue across the Bank.
The purpose for this role is to have a dedicated resource with the appropriate Operations, Management and reporting skills to drive operational control, processes and digitalisation
Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for provision of an integrated experience across all channels; all customer touchpoints.
Translation of customer needs into products and driving customer awareness and uptake of Bancassurance solutions.
Drive captive revenue targets through initiatives aligned to the various CVPs adopted to optimise and enhance revenue collection from the key channels.
Drive business efficiencies through identification of process gaps and remediation through changes in process, automation and transformation.
Work with Group business, support and technical teams to manage and deliver projects within desired quality, timelines and budget
Work with Group IT resources to scope, define requirements & build solutions
Translate and transform commercial propositions to customer ready solutions
User need identification to trigger digital projects
Drive uptake of insurance propositions through all digital channels to achieve set revenue targets
Drive improvement of service experience for the customer through increased acceptance of the digital customer self-service platforms
Compliance
Risk Analysis, BCP, Policies and process management

Education, Professional Qualifications, Experience & Skills

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Project Management, Strategic Management , Computer Science, IT or related field.
Masters’ Degree in a relevant field is an added advantage.
Certificate in Insurance e.g. COP, ACII, IIK
4-5 years’ experience in the Financial /Banking/Business development and operations field
Appreciation of compliance with relevant regulatory bodies
Working knowledge of Turn Quest Business Suite
Good understanding and practical experience dealing with bank prudential issues, regulatory and compliance requirements.
Experience in the Insurance sector will be an added advantage
Strong leadership, interpersonal skills, and team player
The ability to work in a team and individually
Sound decision-making
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Innovative and open to new ideas.
The ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
Good commercial sense
