Infrastructure Specialist

Main Purpose of the Job- (Job Summary)
The key purpose of this role is to implement Asante Finance Group’s IT Infrastructure and IT Security operations across Africa. In this role, you will help formulate, implement and manage Asante’s existing and emerging strategies around cloud computing, cybersecurity, and data security. Working closely with Engineering, Data, and Risk teams, you will ensure that Asante has world-class Infrastructure and Cybersecurity standards that are at par or above industry peers across the globe
Main Responsibilities 
IT INFRASTRUCTURE

Implement IT Infrastructure strategy, architecture, and standards including voice and data network, systems and storage, systems management, virtual server technology, and cloud computing to ensure effective operations
Implement, monitor, maintain, upgrade and administrate IT infrastructure systems, including network infrastructure, servers, storage, databases, desktops/laptops, and peripherals to achieve confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the IT ecosystem
Ensure a stable and highly available enterprise computing environment, including effective customer communications, problem-solving, root cause analysis, and remediation
Oversee and Implement security operations to ensure the integrity and compliance of company infrastructure and data
Maintain system, network, and security disaster recovery plans, scripts, and coordinate BCP & DR testing exercises
Provides infrastructure services vision, enables innovation, and seeks to leverage IT trends that can create business value consistent with the company’s requirements and expectations
Participate in the formulation of the company’s enterprise architecture and business system plans; assessing cost and feasibility, and ensuring the plan is aligned with and supports the strategic goals of the business.
Hands-on technical depth enables direct oversight, problem-solving leadership, and participation for complex infrastructure implementation, system upgrades, and operational troubleshooting.
Experience with comprehensive disaster recovery architecture and operations, including storage area network and redundant, highly-available server and network architectures.
Implement the change, incident, and capacity planning policies
Implement and manage the patching and hardening of Asante’s infrastructure
Leadership for delivery of 24/7 service operations
Spearhead capacity sizing and planning to ensure Asante’s Infrastructure matches Asante’s business growth(data, geographies, and new partnerships)

IT SECURITY

Work closely with the Head of Risk & Engineering to ensure that appropriate security guidance is provided to support projects delivery across Asante. 
Input into the design and implementation of standards, policies, guidelines, and appropriate architectural principles to ensure Asante’s cyber security goals continue to be met
Recognize potential opportunities for enhancing Asante’s security whilst ensuring minimal impact to existing platforms
Have responsibility for scoping penetration testing activities to identify security weaknesses within Asante’s technology environments
Develop a culture of in-depth understanding to Asante stakeholders as to why security testing & compliance is required across all platforms
Continuous analysis of information protection technologies and processes to identify and mitigate technology security weaknesses
 Spearhead the enhancement of delivery and management of key technology security platforms including but not limited SIEM and DLP
 Provide oversight and guidance during security incidents and investigations, ensure root cause analysis is undertaken and input suggested approaches to deal with lessons identified
 Guide and advice Engineering teams on security standards to be complied with during execution of all Asante projects
 Implement Asante’s cyber security strategy

Academic  Qualifications

Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or any other relevant field
5 years + experience in IT Infrastructure and Security services
