Simple set up and management of distributors, and associated products, in one place – banks, telecoms, etc. Used to streamline and automate data interfaces, particularly for high-volume or frequent exchange. Transparent pricing: trial, standard and enterprise tiers
AgSuite: Customized design and automated operation of turn-key parametric weather-risk schemes for agriculture applications. The platform consists of a cloud-hosted policy admin system, interactive design & pricing software and other modules and apps for customer enrollment, climate data ingestion, customer education and performance visualization. Blue Marble also develops custom software on demand for insurers to integrate their systems with AgSuite’s enrollment and payout tracking modules via APIs
General responsibilities
Blue Marble is recruiting an energetic and creative B2B sales director to help drive new client acquisition for DxSuite and AgSuite software applications:
Be accountable for Blue Marble’s software sales strategy, including budget and targets
Actively gather client feedback and market intelligence; stay abreast of evolving trends in target sectors – insurers, banks, telecoms, digital platforms, and corresponding decision-makers’ concerns
Maintain and refresh prospect pipeline
Proactively manage the sales cycle from scalable lead identification to close
Creatively and tactfully use multiple channels: networking platforms, conferences, website, Blue
Marble owners’ networks and cold calls
Create sales collateral: lead-generating narratives and appealing recorded demonstrations
Conduct custom demonstrations of the platforms as part of the sales process
Gather requirements for customization of software services, integration and support requirements if required, and lead assessment of requirements with Blue Marble’s technology team
Minimum qualifications and experience
Bachelor’s degree
5 years of B2B software sales experience, including pre- and post-sales support
Understanding of the basics of software development cycles for SAAS, PAAS and ERP
Some understanding of insurance operations
Profile and general skills
Entrepreneurial and self-directed
Second language like Spanish or French is highly desirable
Comfort working in a dynamic, fast-changing startup environment across multiple geographies, time zones, languages and cultures
Analytically incisive, comfortable with ambiguity and ability to rapidly size up the bigger picture
Exceptional communicator with appreciation for the psychology of personas and persuasion
Passionate about environmental issues and social impact in underserved communities
