RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Part of the product owner’s responsibilities is to have a vision of what he or she wishes to build, and convey that vision to the Engineering team. This is key to successfully starting any agile software development project. The agile product owner does this in part through the product backlog, which is a prioritized features list for the product.
Managing the execution / rollout of product features and tools.
Collaborating / communicating cross functionally across multiple teams.
Gathering business requirements. Defining and adding Acceptance Criteria on all stories
Working together with the Scrum Teams to deliver high quality software products
Managing the Product Backlog, ensuring it is groomed, prioritised and stories are written in enough detail to allow the Scrum Teams to deliver
Writing detailed product specification documents to define the business needs and requirements.
Evaluating information gathered from multiple sources.
Being responsible for validating product ideas with reviews of plans and work-in-progress
with clients, architects and Scrum Teams
Managing projects, business as usual (BAU) work and product roadmap priorities simultaneously
Communicating / collaborating with teams to deliver the following as needed:
Business / functional requirement specifications.
Wireframes, Workflow / process flow diagrams.
Data Model/s, Obtain sign-off on the specifications
Ensuring that the dev / QA teams understand the requirements.
Setting timelines, driving project schedules and leading cross-functional development
teams from design through to release.
Representing the client’s users and business by acting as the project’s key stakeholder
Understanding of the Scrum Framework, SAFe and Agile methodologies
Development or technical background is a bonus
Managing the implementation of selected project initiatives.
Reviewing the test plan and test scripts to ensure quality and coverage.
Performing user acceptance testing.
Prepare and maintain the product roadmap in wrike which defines product enhancements for short- and long-term releases, key dependencies
Serve as the internal and external subject matter expert for product offerings, working with Sales, Product Marketing and Customer Support groups
Assist in creating product training, SOP’s [standard operating procedures] and documentation materials in support of the implementation and launch of applications.
Manage and resolve escalations that have impact on critical path of service delivery for operations queries reported
To understand and lead on enhancements to existing products and related campaigns in line with life cycles, market trends and product performance
To contribute to the sourcing and development of new products.

Demonstrated capabilities in technical-oriented business analysis techniques and user acceptance testing processes/methodologies in large, complex, diversified, global organizations.
Recent involvement in the day-to-day tasks of the user acceptance testing process.
Ability to interpret requirement documents and update test documents accordingly.
Aptitude for understanding, digesting and analyzing complex systems integration.
Excellent communications skills, both oral and written. Must be able to communicate effectively and confidently with users, team members and management.
Must be flexible and willing to undertake a wide variety of challenging tasks.
Ability to work some flexible hours due to varying time zones across regions.
QUALIFICATIONS
Relevant tertiary degree in Engineering / Computer Science / Information Systems.
CSPO or CPM or CPO Certification [required]
6 years+ Product owner, building and specifying business applications, preferably with
experience in payment systems and/or financial services.
BA experience [advantageous]
Strong data analytics background with a demonstrated ability to translate business
needs into creative and engaging output.
