TAS Lead/Community Lead

Position Summary
To provide HIV/ART support for adherence services and advancing TAS services in the clinic and community. Assist with integrating quality of care data into site-specific plans for improvement. PITC services support at local partner treatment facilities (LPTF’S)
Main Duties

 Understand key LTPF HIV targets and takes lead in ensuring the adherence teams meet the set targets

 Provides mentorship and supervision to the LTPF treatment adherence support teams and PITC counselors

 Assist LPTFs to develop and implement networks for Partner notification services/HIV testing and Linkage, HIV treatment support

 Support LPTF treatment and adherence support feedback and documentation done in registers and client’s files

 Implementation and maintenance of successful differentiated care models including facility fast track models and support Community ART Groups.

 Assist in identifying, building and strengthening Community Health Volunteers (CHV) capacity to support treatment adherence and HIV testing

 Coordinates client education sessions including treatment preparation sessions, treatment preparation for second line regimen switch and other ongoing counselling sessions within the facility

 Ensure health messages on key client adherence and HIV testing are conducted

 Management of section budget

 Maintain competence through clinical practice

 Improves quality results by studying, evaluating, and re-designing treatment support procedures and patient progress

Required Qualifications for the Position

 Licensed Registered Community Health Nurse / A degree holder in Community Development or Social Sciences or its equivalent

 Strong interpersonal and organizational skills

 Supervisory role in the healthcare industry

 Extensive knowledge and at least 3 years’ experience in HIV care and treatment support in a resource-limited setting

 Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment

 HIV testing training and experience in community work in low-resource settings will be an added advantage

 Fluent in English and Kiswahili

 Ability to train & develop staff; on and off the field
