Plant Manager (KShs.180,000 – 200,000)

We need Vast experience in medium light duty fabrication experience along with strong end to end production planning and management experience required.
Job Purpose:
Responsible for supply planning, procurement, production and engineering and maintenance. This role will report to Operations Head.
Role Specification:

Strategy and Development:
Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practices, vision, strategy, process and procedures in the field of production, maintenance, planning and procurement to improve overall business performance.
Ensure availability of Raw material from various local and international vendor and manage the stock inventory level to avoid any expiry of material and production outage.
Responsible for warehouse operations within the plant.
Responsible for overall plant production output, efficiencies, direct manpower as per the targets
Responsible for maintaining the yield, give away and wastages within the budget and provide leadership to implement continual improvement projects to improve them.
Responsible for asset management, daily/monthly and annual maintenance of equipment and ensure the plant equipment OEE are met as per the budget.
Ensure the maintenance spends are reviewed and are maintained within the budget.
Responsible for optimizing the conversion cost of products in the factory and ensure the same is within the budget.
Provide leadership for continual improvement projects to reduce fixed and variable cost for the plant which includes reduction in power and fuel, plant consumables, direct and indirect manpower etc.
Ensure all the legal and statutory compliance related to plant operations are met.
Manage, coach and develop a high performing team that meets agreed objectives, and which delivers best practice results, added value and continuous improvements
Report on achievement of targets and identify any actions required
Consistently promote high standards through personal example and roll out through the team so that each member of the team understands the standards and behaviors expected of them
Manage and lead the team, ensuring adequate staffing levels.
Motivate and coach the team to operational success
Review, implement and update company records e.g. training matrices, performance reviews, risk assessment
