Health & Safety Officer Human Resource Officer Accountants

Meridian Health Group seeks to recruit competent and qualified individuals in the following capacities:
The Health and Safety Officer will be responsible for the main health and safety duties in the workplace.
He or she is responsible for ensuring that there is a safe working environment for all employees and other relevant parties.
Duties & Responsibilities

Ensure that safety inspections are carried out, fire drills and fire alarms are correctly reported, safety inspections, risk assessments and working procedures are managed.
Coordinate the development of health & safety policies, systems of work and procedures.
Ensure a safe workplace environment without risk to health.
Ensure that all Health & Safety policies, procedures, rules and regulations are adhered to and are regularly reviewed, updated and communicated.
Ensure the company meets its statutory obligations in all areas pertaining to health, safety and welfare at work, including statutory training and reporting.
Ensure the completion and regular review of risk assessments for all work equipment and operations.
Coordinate Health & Safety audits.
Develop and implement health and safety policies.
Conduct risk assessment for all the facilities in the group.
Organize trainings for all staff in the group.
Coordinate environmental audits.
Ensure that all the facilities are licensed with the necessary regulatory bodies relating to health and safety.
Ensure that all accidents are documented, investigated and recommended improvements implemented.
Conduct safety inspections for all the facilities in the group.
Run health and safety meetings and training courses for employees

Health & Safety Officer Skills and Qualifications
 
Academic: O-levels/A-Levels
Professional:

Diploma in a relevant field.
Training in Occupational Health & Safety.
Training in Environmental Management

Experience:

Minimum of 3 years’ experience Health & Safety preferably in health care environment.
Experience in OSH training
