Microfundit is a Nairobi-based tech startup that connects micro and corporate donors with great charitable projects fighting hunger in East Africa. Available on Google Playstore and on the web, we partner with the region’s most influential brands and certified charities to democratize giving and provide donors with an exciting experience to fight hunger everywhere.
Our mission is to connect millions of people with great causes every day and inspire them to take action against hunger. We are looking for interns who are passionate and have what it takes to excel in this mission.
Key responsibilities

With technical support from the backend engineer, manage our projects dashboard and ensure information remains up to date at all times
Work closely with the digital communications associate to identify ways to acquire and onboard new individual donors
Identify and recommend new corporate partners that are inspired by social change and/or connect with our mission
Review and recommend giving campaigns and calls to action that our brand can leverage
Articulate our mission and vision to a diverse company and community audience through individual and group presentations

Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree in social sciences or project management (completed or to be completed)
Tech savvy and passionate about startups at the intersect of technology and social change
1year experience in project management
Experience with pitching ideas and making solid presentations
Experience working in a fundraising environment preferred
Experience providing event and/or conducting basic research preferred
A great attitude and personality able to accommodate diverse viewpoints
